Manufacture of Semi-Conductors and Sensors in Russian Federation
What is a semiconductor? It’s generally produced of materials with an appointed resistance (it is among the resistance of a conductor and a non-conductor). The resistance of semiconductors also is affected by variations of temperature or supplementary “impurities”.
The material is known to have dashes if some other components have been added to it. Semi-conductors are known as semiconductor assembly of type-n or type-t depending on the characteristics of finished material.
They produce diodes and transistors applying both these types of semi-conductors. Now silicon is surely appearing to be the most popular substance for producing semi-conductors.
Diode then is the electronic component created of semi-conductor material. It lets electrical current go only in a single direction. In each diode there is a component made of positive and negative elements (written as p- and n-) and of barrier level (or pn-transfer). Electrical schemes that change between alternating and direct current are produced with diodes. Only half of the period or cycle is to go because diodes make current flow only in a single direction. They call such a junction a rectifier.
LED (light diodes) is a different kind of diodes. Such diodes are needed in case it’s necessary to generate light at small voltages and at the same time generate no heat. These diodes are used in all types of modern electronic equipment for example tv sets or audio units specially to mark the standby state.
Moore’s law led to the popularization of thyristors manufactures. The most important factor for producing complex power semi-conductor devices at smaller prices is now lithography. As for optical lithography, it now gives way to the increase of other technologies because it has met its physical limit. Presumedly ultraviolet lithography and nano-imprint lithography can turn into the alternative methods of optical lithography. Since not long time ago scientists also consider x-ray lithography and electron beam lithography as suitable substitutes. Another precious discovery was brought to life in Russia. That was the development of igbt modules. People use those sensors to do various tasks in any conditions. The voltage sensors find their application in commercial, manufacture and daily devices. The form and value of the igbt sensor can change depending on the kind of equipment. And the sensors may be little (as in several light detectors) or difficult in construction (counters that react on radiation changes).
Alone the voltage sensor won’t work. The power system dispatchers are made to provide supervisory control over numerous actions like opening or closing circuit breakers in substation, controlling voltage, frequency, power flow and other system properties, monitoring the scheduled interchange of power between the neighboring power systems, monitoring and reacting to various system signals.
For the dispatchers to complete these functions they have to have a complete information of the whole power system received with the monitors of computers in different substations. The position of CB’s, fuses holders, analog values and isolators or other variations of subordinate station level data acquisition was 1st captured in the RTU. The biggest part in export is the prerogative of Russian Federation and China.
